This book provides a succinct yet scientific approach in the context of the National Chambal Sanctuary located in the perennial Chambal River of Rajasthan part. Through this book, researchers, scientists, wildlife and environmental students and wildlife lovers get information about the main fauna found in the National Chambal Sanctuary.
Here, by appropriate methodology, adequate considerations have been provided for the conservation of alligators and various bird species found in the river area based on their current numbers and the threats they are facing. In this way, this book will provide information about the main habitat of these creatures, on the other hand it will also be helpful to the forest department and other related government departments in making appropriate management plan.
Mr.Hari Mohan Meena has been working in National Chambal Sanctuary from 2011 for the conservation of endemic and critically endangered gharial. He also has a good knowledge of Aquatic fauna including birds. Meena has visited the various protected forest areas and wetlands of many states of the country. Currently he is working with Rajasthan Forest Dept. in Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve-I, SawaiMadhopur as Field Biologist. Previously, he worked with WWF-India as Field Research, SCHEME, Raj. as Biologist and M.P.. Forest Department as Project Coordinator in NCS.
Dr.Krishnendra Singh Nama have completed Doctoral Degree in Botany in the year 2012 from University of Kota, Rajasthan. He has received training in Open Source for Watershed and MGNREGS from NIRD, Jaipur (Raj.); Open Source QGIS Application for Natural Resources Management from NIRD, Jaipur (Raj.); Conducting Research in Biodiversity and Wildlife from Dept. of Zoology, University of Lucknow (U.P.) respectively. He has published several research articles, review papers in various International & National Journals; papers presented at different conferences & workshops; and attended several workshops on concerning subjects.
Dr.Sitaram Taigor working as Environmental Specialist-Ganga, State Mission for Clean Ganga-Uttar Pradesh from last 4 years. Priviously, he has worked as Senior Project Officer for run Water Conservation Programme in buffers area of Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve and National Chambal Sanctuary, India. He is member of IUCN SSC-Crocodile Specialist Group. He has published more than 20 research papers in reputed national and international journal.
